COVID Care Protocol
Variants of COVID continue across the world along with many reports of vaccine breakthrough cases. Happily, people who are vaccinated and bolstered generally have much milder cases. Everyone is encouraged by medical professionals at the CDC and OHSU to get their booster shots as they enhances immunity. We continue to educate ourselves and will make decisions with the goal of protecting our community from event spread as best we can.
We continue to practice an abundance of caution. It has been beautiful having events in the Tree House, and we would like to continue to do so. This requires all of us to do a careful self-assessment of our personal risk tolerance and to absolutely stay home if you are feeling even mild physical symptoms. We know this is complicated for anyone with allergies, but let us keep the love flowing by staying home if needed.
We understand that this may lead some to decide that attending in-person events is not worth the risk, and we honor your fear and concern. We also wish to continue to provide space to connect and will continue to be transparent on our policies. Going forward, we require the following:
We have dropped the requirement that all attendees at in-person Empowered Pleasure events, whether at the Tree House or elsewhere, must be vaccinated.
All attendees at in-person events must have a negative rapid COVID test within 12 hours of the event start time, and a picture of that test must be sent to us or brought to the event. If you can’t source your own tests, we try to keep a stock of antigen tests at the Tree House so you can test upon arrival (please arrive 15 minutes early for this). Cost will be whatever our average cost at that time is.
We’ll take your temperature at the door and will ask you to leave if your temperature is over 99.5°F.
If you have even mild symptoms of any kind (allergies, headaches, upset stomach, sniffles, scratchy throat, etc.), please stay home even if you feel certain it’s not COVID.
Do NOT come to an event within 5 days of being exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID.
With love and concern,
Charity & Cliff
